Pegboard hooks 80 mm, pack of 6: frequently asked questions
What is a long 80 mm pegboard hook used for?
The long 80 mm hook is for hanging bulkier items on a pegboard: rolls, hoses, coiled cables and tools that need more room. It has 80 mm of usable reach and an upward-curved tip.
What are the dimensions of the 80 mm hook?
Each 80 mm hook measures 87 x 57 x 4.4 mm, with 80 mm of usable reach. It is twice as long as the Casitio 40 mm hook, with the same spring latch and the same fit on the panel.
Can the 80 mm hook hold a hose or a roll of cable?
The recommended load is up to 3 kg per 80 mm hook. Before hanging a hose or a cable roll, check that it does not weigh more than that; if it does, spread it across two hooks.
Does the hook come off the pegboard when I take the hose down?
No, the 80 mm hook has a spring latch: once fitted into two slots in the same column, it does not lift off when you take down what you hung. To remove it from the panel, press the latch tab.
Do the 80 mm hooks fit any pegboard?
No, they are made for panels with vertical oval slots of about 5 x 15 mm, laid out in a staggered grid with 20 mm between centres. Measure your panel's slots and spacing before buying.
What is the difference between the 6-pack and the 12-pack of 80 mm hooks?
Only the quantity: both packs contain the same 80 mm hook, 87 x 57 x 4.4 mm. The pack of 6 covers a few rolls and hoses; the pack of 12 is meant to fit out a whole panel with room for everything coiled.
